After arriving in Guinea at about 7 pm, we were driven to Daniel and Stefanie's house, missionaries in Conakry, for a night's stay. They were great hosts for weary travelers. When 10 pm rolled around we were plenty tired, even though that would only be 6pm Michigan time. The other photo is a picture of a boy coming to the courtyard to get water. We stayed in a 2nd floor apartment. The first floor is a church. The water spigot belongs to the church, but they make it available to the neighborhood, kind of like sharing their well. It part of the philosophy of Guineans with sharing water.
