Day 1 (How's that for scintillating? Bet you can wait to read more!

Welcome to Guinea. No, it wasn't foggy. That's what happens to the camera lens when it goes from the cool airplane air to the hot humid air of Guinea. Taking this picture almost cost us our camera. One of the Guinean army members spotted the camera and proceeded to claim it because we shouldn't be taking pictures at the airport. Actually, he was looking for some money from us to get our camera back. But since he didn't speak English and we don't speak French, the negotiations didn't go well for him. Finally he got tired of us asking for our camera back and returned it to us.
Our travels went great. No problems with customs or security. Although we didn't anticipate going thru security again at the Paris airport after going thru at Detroit, so we got caught with a water bottle at security and had to drink it down before we could go on.
